Job summary

RE Management Solutions in Chicago seeks a Project Controls Specialist / Scheduler to own schedule integrity, cost forecasting, and earned value management across a portfolio of utility capital projects.

This dedicated project controls role focuses on building and maintaining master schedules, producing reliable financial forecasts, and supporting audit-ready, on-time reporting for our Fortune 250 utility clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in project controls, scheduling, or cost engineering on utility or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on with Primavera P6 for building, baselining, and reporting.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management methodology.
• Experience with cost forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills with audit-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project Master Schedule using WBS and baselines.
• Load costs to align with bid sheets and values; integrate contractor schedules.
• Submit Primavera P6 schedule files with narratives and progress updates.
• Provide EV metrics and forecasting for client budgeting cycles.
• Analyze schedule and cost variances for budgeting and forecasting.
• Support contract reconciliation, change orders, and close-out.
