Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support engineering and construction across energy technologies. The role focuses on creating and maintaining project schedules, budgeting, forecasting and reporting to drive project success through lifecycle stages.

The ideal candidate has 0–3 years of experience in the utility sector, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 0–3 years’ experience in the utility or energy sector preferred.
  • Proven scheduling, management and technical skills for complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and progress project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Prepare monthly reports comparing baselines to progress schedules, including critical path, resource loading and costs.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment and capital postings for reporting and budgets.
  • Prepare and present reports, action plans and mitigation strategies based on critical path analysis.
  • Provide scheduling support for all projects and coordinate priorities with resources.
  • Travel to project sites within North America as needed.
