Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to support water infrastructure projects in Southern Nevada. You will implement and maintain project planning, review baselines, and assess schedules for budgets and allocations.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year engineering or construction management degree and 3+ years of related experience, with advanced Primavera P6 skills and CPM scheduling expertise. The role includes developing risk assessments and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

  • Requires a 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field) and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.
  • Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling principles and schedule quality analysis.
  • Experience reviewing design consultant, contractor, cost-loaded, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Familiarity with Time Impact Analysis, delay analysis methodologies, schedule risk assessment, and construction claims.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports and communicate schedule findings.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains project planning and scheduling.
  • Review baseline schedules for contract compliance and specifications.
  • Evaluate cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules for budgets and allocations.
  • Review contractor/consultant schedule updates and progress.
  • Perform CPM analysis to identify critical paths, float, and sequencing issues.
  • Assess schedule quality via logic, durations, calendars, constraints, and progress.
  • Analyze time impact submittals for validity of schedule impacts.
  • Provide schedule forecasting and risk assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive schedule review reports with findings and concerns.
  • Coordinate with design/construction management to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support project controls processes and perform related duties.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Scheduler to join our team! In this role you will get to work on water infrastructure projects in Southern Nevada .

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Implements and maintains Project Planning and Scheduling.
  • Reviews contractor and consultant baseline schedules to verify compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and accepted scheduling practices
  • Evaluate cost-loaded and resource loaded schedules to validate budgets and resource allocations
  • Review periodic schedule updates submitted by contractors and consultants
  • Perform Critical Path method analysis to identify controlling activities, near critical paths, float, sequencing issues, and potential impacts
  • Assess schedule quality through detailed reviews of logic ties, activity durations, calendars, constraints, lag usage, out-of-sequence progress, open-ended activities
  • Review and analyze time impact analysis submittals to determine the validity of proposed schedule impacts
  • Provide schedule forecasting and risk assessments
  • Prepare comprehensive schedule review reports documenting findings, deficiencies, schedule concerns, compliance issues
  • Coordinate with design management and construction management personnel to resolve schedule discrepancies, discuss schedule performance, and support project controls processes
  • Performs other functions associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method scheduling principles and schedule quality analysis
  • Experience reviewing design consultant, contractor, cost-loaded, and resource-loaded schedules
  • Familiarity with Time Impact Analysis, delay analysis methodologies, schedule risk assessment, and construction claims
  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports and communicate schedule findings

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Preferred experience working on PMCM contracts
  • Preferred experience working with a public agency

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
