Qualifications

  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with 60 months of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience is accepted.
  • Experience includes construction scheduling, Primavera P6, and project cost and schedule analysis.

Job description

Duties:

Prepare, establish, and maintain schedule data in Primavera P6 for proposals or construction EPC projects. Optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives. Perform schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure. Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties. Work with a construction team to develop schedule recovery plans as needed. Work with construction to lay out Level 5 daily discipline schedule, to be included in Short Term Work Plan (STWP) weekly package. Lead weekly STWP meetings with project team. Lead Quantity Unit Rate Report weekly meeting. Review, discuss and analyze production unit rates. Assist with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics. Perform schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.


Requirements:

Must have a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 12 months experience in the job offered in a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field along with 60 months of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include: Construction and scheduling experience involving subcontracted and direct-hire labor; Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite of tools; Project cost and schedule analysis; Establishing criteria for Project Controls activities; Supporting project development and project execution teams; Developing schedule look-ahead plans and performing scenario analysis for transportation/aviation infrastructure projects; Tracking quantities, verifying field progress, and reviewing QC/QA documentation for transportation infrastructure; Running data analysis and creating technical reports using Excel and visualization tools; Coordinating between engineering, construction, and stakeholder teams to ensure alignment.
