Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Projects in Union Springs, AL is seeking a Project Controls Manager to support our solar construction site. You will lead earned value reporting, budgeting, and ensure timely project reviews with the client and internal teams.

Role involves coordinating field site startups and demobilizations, liaising with VP-level stakeholders, and guiding field personnel through project controls processes on a 2-year on-site assignment.

Qualifications

• Ten plus years experience in related project controls assignments.
• Solar project experience is required or highly preferred.
• PMI PMP Certification is a plus.
• Computer proficiency certifications or equivalent education are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance for site Project Controls personnel and assist with troubleshooting field project controls issues.
• Interface with clients and Business Unit VPs to ensure the required deliverables are met, including monthly/period reports and project reviews.
• Participate in Project Support Team activities and periodic audits of processes to ensure contractual and Day & Zimmermann procedural compliance; travel is involved.
• Coordinate all interface report out meetings between client and field sites.
• Coordinate start up of new field sites and demobilization of same when complete, including field assignments.
• Coordinate placement of field personnel.

We're looking for a Project Controls Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann Projects team on site at our solar construction project in Union Springs, AL.

Anticipated project duration: 2 years

• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and exceptional management and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Knowledge of general project controls functions (including Earned Value Reporting) and the ability to plan, organize, budget, and monitor progress on firm fixed price projects
• Good computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• SAP R/3, and Primavera P6 knowledge is a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide support and guidance for site Project Controls personnel & assist with troubleshooting field project controls issues. Also, coordinate support of the reporting process.
• Interface with clients and Business Unit VP's to ensure the required deliverables are being met, including monthly/period reports and project reviews.

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

• Some college or post secondary education preferred
• Ten plus years experience in related project controls assignments
• Solar project experience
• Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $119,000 - $176,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
