Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for a long-term role in Wadsworth, TX. You will perform routine scheduling, estimating, cost analysis, scope control tracking, and reporting under supervision, with opportunities to grow into more complex controls work.

The role requires a college degree or 5+ years in construction, with 1–3 years of related project controls experience. Training on SAP, PC Lite, and DZ Estimator will be provided, plus strong MS Office and PowerBI skills are

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost control estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Assist with SAP-based cost reporting and WBS development.
  • Support estimates, MC ToolBox, and PowerBI cost reporting.
  • Help manage project execution, budgets, invoices, and timesheets.
  • Support project definition close-out and scheduling basics for field activities
  • Collaborate with team to ensure accurate cost control and reporting

Day & Zimmermann is actively accepting applications for a Project Controls Analyst for a long-term role in Wadsworth, TX.

Under general supervision, the Project Controls Analyst will perform the routine aspects of scheduling, estimating, cost analysis, scope control tracking, and reporting. With additional experience within one specialty, the individual is expected to participate in larger and more complex project controls assignments

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Exposure to all aspects of cost control (development of craft/staff rates, study end users’ procedures, perform exercises in SAP, and cost report development).
  • Exposure to all proprietary software (PC Lite, D&Z Estimator, and Betterment Tool).
  • Once training is complete, support WBS development, budget creation, and other aspects in SAP.
  • Support the development of Estimates and MC ToolBox and PowerBI cost reporting.
  • Assist with the execution of financial management, including budgets, tracking invoices (as needed), reviewing timesheets, and monitoring/forecasting cost.
  • Support project and project definition close-out.
  • Exposure to scheduling basics to assist efforts for in-house field activities.

  • College degree or minimum five years related experience in a construction environment.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $44,000.00 - $ 156,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
