Job summary

Ivanhoe Electric Inc. is seeking a Manager of Project Controls to lead the integrated project controls system for the Santa Cruz Copper Project.

You will ensure integrity of cost, schedule, risk, change, and progress across early works and underground development, reporting to the General Manager - Construction. The role is responsible for establishing a unified project truth, aligning WBS and baselines, and guiding a hybrid IPT delivery model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Professional designation preferred (PE, PMP, AACE, or equivalent).
• 7+ years of construction and capital project experience, including hands-on scheduling and cost control.
• Significant underground or heavy civil construction exposure.
• Experience establishing project controls systems from early project phase; pre-construction set-up preferred.
• Demonstrated owner-side or EPCM major project experience.
• Experience implementing cost control systems.
• Experience with multi-contractor delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up the project controls framework and confirm readiness prior to major construction spend.
• Maintain alignment of WBS, budgets, schedules, progress measurement, and reporting structures.
• Prepare formal readiness assessments and flag structural gaps to leadership.
• Implement and maintain a single, integrated system of project truth.
• Manage integrated cost, schedule, risk, change, progress, and document control systems.
• Produce auditable reporting to support leadership decisions.
• Maintain the integrated master schedule and cost baseline; lead forecasting.
• Run risk management and change control processes to protect baseline integrity.
• Coordinate contractor onboarding and performance management.
