Job summary

CAA ICON seeks a Project Controls Manager to oversee consolidation of expenditures and forecasts for budget reporting. You will monitor all cost elements, manage invoicing and payment applications, and ensure accuracy of the project budget and cash flow.

Role requires 5–7 years in cost control, strong Excel skills, and the ability to lead discussions with clients and lenders in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes proactive cost management and GMP-related involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management (or related field).
• 5-7 years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
• Advanced experience with using the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to clearly communicate, deliver presentations, explain variances and issues, and propose solutions.
• Strong attention to detail with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate project expenditures and forecasted expenditures into budget reports.
• Monitor and review accuracy of the overall project budget (hard and soft costs, commitments).
• Manage cost management, including tracking, forecasting, and resolving variations, cash flow, and pay applications.
• Maintain and update project budget and cash flow, including adjustments and exposure logs, with client signatures.
• Prepare detailed cash flow analyses and maintain projections.
• Coordinate forecast with client finance regarding costs and schedule issues.
• Lead invoice and payment coordination with client, lenders, contractors, and consultants.
• Lead monthly lender site-walks and review meetings with stakeholders.
• Assist in pre-construction phase in finalising construction costs and GMP negotiations.
• Analyse change orders and additional service requests; respond to notices and time extensions.
