Job Purpose

As a Project Controls Manager in the Worley Alaska office, your primary responsibilities will be to deliver consistent, accurate, and effective project controls including cost control, schedule management, change management, forecasting, and reporting. You will also foster a culture of learning and development and manage career progression within the Project Controls department.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Project Controls Team and perform project controls activities on projects as required.
  • Collaborate with the Project Controls team to ensure that all projects are accurately set up and executed as per Worley Project Controls Procedures and guidelines.
  • Estimate review and recasting into a project control budget.
  • Apply Work Breakdown Structure, Code of Accounts, and Cost Types.
  • Perform cost control, cost management, cost forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop schedule, progress forecast, and report.
  • Conduct cost and schedule analysis.
  • Execute and administer change management.
  • Organize and facilitate project reviews with management.
  • Support accrual process for financial reporting.
  • Develop project‑specific Project Controls Plans.
  • Apply risk management methodologies.
  • Engage in bid and proposal process.
  • Act as a local champion for Worley Project Controls Processes, driving adherence.
  • Lead implementation of project controls systems and spearhead capability enhancements.
  • Identify improvement areas and lead change initiatives for efficiency.
  • Effectively manage client requirements and stakeholder needs regarding project controls.
  • Provide supervision, support, and coaching to Project Controls team.
  • Monitor project trends and challenges, facilitating early intervention.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and standardized reporting for all projects.
  • Oversee internal monthly reviews of project status and health.
  • Define clear goals and expectations with the Project Controls team.
  • Accountable for selecting, hiring, training, and developing the Project Controls team.
  • Support overall management of training plans and career development initiatives.
  • Participate in annual performance reviews of the Project Controls team.
  • Assist with development and tracking of department budget.
  • Champion proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Fifteen (15) years relevant experience including supervisory, project management, or technical experience; field project controls experience with a general contracting company preferred.
  • Experience in leading or managing project controls teams.
  • Experience in Oil/ Gas Construction and Fabrication.
  • Experience in the full lifecycle of a project.
  • Working knowledge and skills in the use of software such as EcoSys, Primavera, Microsoft Office Suite, and cost control systems.
  • Ability to communicate in written, spoken English.
  • Live within or willing to relocate to Anchorage, Alaska; no relocation stipend provided.
