CEI in New Orleans seeks a seasoned Project Controls Manager to drive governance and controls across large technology programs. You will own cost, schedule, issues, and risk reporting, partnering with leaders to ensure consistency and reliable performance metrics.

You will implement standard PMO practices, oversee multiple workstreams, and provide executive-ready status updates. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in project controls are expected, with PMP/Primavera certifications a plus.

Project Controls Manager

Overview

This role leads project controls execution across strategic technology programs, focusing on cost, schedule, issues, and risk reporting. You will help ensure consistent governance practices, reliable performance metrics, and adherence to established project management standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project controls activities across multiple technology initiatives and programs
• Implement and maintain project management and governance standards and operating guides
• Oversee cost control, scheduling, and PMO operations functions for assigned workstreams
• Review and validate project status reporting, performance metrics, and estimates at completion
• Identify project risks and issues; drive mitigation planning and resolution tracking
• Provide executive-ready reporting to leadership and other key stakeholders
• Support work intake and workload management across the project controls team

Required Skills

• 7+ years of project controls experience supporting technology-sector projects
• Scheduling expertise (Primavera Project Management Systems and/or MS Project)
• Cost control fundamentals (budgeting, variance analysis, earned value concepts)
• Risk management (risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning)
• SDLC experience across multiple delivery approaches (Waterfall and Agile)
• PMO and project governance experience
• Experience producing project performance reporting and metrics for leadership

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Business, or equivalent work experience
