Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Controls Manager to support engineering, procurement, and construction of hyperscale data centers. You will lead cost and schedule controls across large-scale projects, developing baselines and performance reporting for executive stakeholders.

Collaboration with engineering, supply chain, construction and clients will be essential to maintain discipline throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project controls for large-scale projects.
• Strong background in cost control, forecasting, planning/scheduling, and EVM.
• Experience delivering project controls reporting to executives.

JOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join a top energy company in Houston, TX, supporting the engineering, procurement, and construction of multiple hyperscale, mission-critical data centers across the United States. This role will lead all project controls activities, including planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting across large-scale data center projects. The Project Controls Manager will establish and maintain integrated cost and schedule baselines, ensure project performance metrics accurately reflect project status, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and corrective actions. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, and Client teams to maintain cost and schedule discipline throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills and Requirements

10-15 years of experience in project controls supporting large-scale industrial, construction, energy, or infrastructure projectsStrong background in cost control, forecasting, planning/scheduling, and earned value management (EVM)Proven experience developing project performance reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level project controls reportingDemonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project controls teamsExperience supporting large-scale construction portfolios exceeding $300M+ in project valueBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or a related disciplinePrevious experience delivering Data Center or mission-critical facility projectsProfessional certifications such as AACE CCP, PSP, or PMI-SPAdvanced experience with Primavera P6Strong proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and project controls reporting toolsExperience managing project change controls, risk assessments, and contingency planning processesFamiliarity working within EPC or large-scale industrial construction environmentsProvide your feedback on BizChat
