Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead – Reporting & Automation to spearhead reporting, analytics, and automation across major projects.

You will own the project controls reporting environment, leveraging Microsoft tools to improve data visibility, automate workflows, and provide reliable information to project leadership. As an innovation leader, you will partner with project teams to identify process improvements and technology integrations that reduce manual effort

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design and implement automated reporting/workflow solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of Power BI dashboards across projects.
• Develop integrated solutions with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Establish scalable data models and KPI frameworks covering cost, schedule, risk, and financials.
• Work with ERP/PMIS and other systems to extract, transform, validate, and integrate data.
• Develop automation with Python, Power Automate, APIs, and data pipelines to reduce manual work.
• Act as an innovation leader to improve project controls processes and efficiency.
• Partner with managers to evaluate processes and propose practical tech solutions.
• Establish data governance and quality controls for dashboards and reports.

This Opportunity

WSP is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead – Reporting & Automation to lead the development and implementation of reporting, analytics, and automation solutions across major projects and portfolios. This individual will take ownership of the project controls reporting environment, leveraging the Microsoft technology suite to improve data visibility, automate workflows, reduce manual effort, and provide project leadership with reliable, actionable information.

The successful candidate will serve as an innovation leader, partnering with Project Controls Managers and project teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, technology integration, and automation.

Your Impact

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions across assigned projects and portfolios.
• Develop integrated solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, and other Microsoft technologies to improve data collection, processing, workflow management, and reporting.
• Establish scalable data models, KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and dashboards that integrate cost, schedule, risk, change, financial, and performance information.
• Work directly with project data from ERP, PMIS, scheduling, financial, and other enterprise systems, developing efficient methods to extract, transform, validate, and integrate information.
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Power Automate, APIs, data pipelines, and other appropriate technologies to reduce repetitive manual processes and improve data reliability.
• Serve as an innovation and continuous improvement leader, proactively identifying opportunities to improve project controls processes, reporting, and overall efficiency.
• Partner with Project Controls Managers and project leadership to evaluate existing processes and recommend practical technology and automation solutions that reduce level of effort and resource requirements.
• Establish appropriate data governance and quality controls to ensure dashboards, automated workflows, and project reporting remain accurate, consistent, and reliable.
