Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support large U.S. Navy and DoD programs at NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field in St. Inigoes, Maryland.

The role focuses on hands-on project control, schedules, resources, and performance analysis to keep programs on track and within budget. The position requires on-site work with potential compressed work schedule and travel; candidates should bring strong analytical, scheduling, and communication skills and an active Secret

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (3) years of professional experience in project planning, controls, scheduling, analysis, or program support.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience leading project tasks or teams.
• Experience with large and complex Navy or DoD programs is required.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and tracking milestones.
• Experience monitoring resources, budgets, staffing, and procurement activities.
• Experience preparing project status reports for stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules and IMS.
• Monitor progress against milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities.
• Analyze schedule performance and identify risks or delays.
• Track resources, staffing, procurement activities, and budgets.
• Coordinate with managers, leads, and technical teams to meet deadlines.
• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings.
• Support project reviews, program meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
• Assist with risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
