Job summary

Parsons is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Specialist to join our Critical Infrastructure team in New York. You will oversee cost, schedule, and performance metrics, prepare standard reports including earned value analysis, and support forecasting and contingency planning across large capital programs.

You’ll collaborate with finance and project teams to optimize cost performance, develop executive dashboards, and ensure accurate tracking of budget commitments and expenditures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of cost reporting, forecasting, earned value, KPI tracking, and variance analysis.
• Ability to develop executive-level dashboards and detailed supporting analysis.

Responsibilities

• Administer project controls systems and processes, monitor budget performance, commitments, and expenditures.
• Analyze cost and schedule variances and maintain a performance measurement baseline.
• Support forecasting, assess fiscal impact of changes, and recommend cost and performance actions.
• Prepare standardized project controls reports including earned value, cost-at-completion, and KPI dashboards.
• Present project controls reports to project leadership as requested.
• Maintain contingency logs, performance trend logs, and forecast variance registers.
• Prepare contingency adequacy assessments and adjust forecasts as needed.
