Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager to support cost and schedule management for transportation and infrastructure programs.

The role emphasizes technical accuracy, disciplined controls execution, and collaboration with Program Managers, Owners, Finance, Design, Construction, and Operations. In this Lexington, KY-based, full-time position, you will contribute to project controls practices, KPI development, and reporting to enable informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of project controls experience on engineering/construction projects including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling and cost control.
• Experience with PMIS software and project controls processes across multiple delivery methods.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; able to collaborate across disciplines and locations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling/reporting tools; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support and enforce project controls practices across capital programs.
• Analyze cost and schedule performance and generate transparent reporting for decision makers.
• Coordinate with Program Managers, Owners, Finance, Design, Construction and Operations.
• Develop and monitor KPIs; participate in change management and records management.
• Lead coordination meetings and review change documentation for contract compliance.
• Extract scope quantities from drawings and specifications; support risk analysis and mitigation.
