Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Project Controls Specialist in the Tool Install division to oversee financial health of complex engineering projects. Responsibilities include project cost accounting, billing management, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.

You will set up projects in Deltek Vantagepoint, manage WBS, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-budget delivery across US locations including Austin, TX and Scottsdale, AZ.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with focus in Accounting or Finance.
• Progressive experience in project control, project accounting, or cost accounting within engineering/construction projects, preferably in AEC/high-tech.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with detailed formulas and pivot tables; VBA a plus.
• Experience with scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera) and project accounting systems (Deltek, SAP).

Responsibilities

• Set up new projects in Deltek Vantagepoint with phase/task structure, billing terms, rate tables, revenue methods, and budget loading.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow with PMs and discipline leads.
• Implement and oversee WBS and cost coding for accurate reporting.
• Create financial baselines and reporting frameworks for high-technology projects.
• Identify cost overruns/risks and report findings to management.
