HRU Technical Resources is seeking a Project Controls Engineer (Level I or II) in East Lansing, MI, to support FRIB projects with scheduling and cost management. You will develop detailed schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project, monitor budgets, and provide earned value analysis.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost engineering, or related functions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, including developing and reporting schedules.
• Knowledge of project cost controls, scheduling methodologies, and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience evaluating project schedules, identifying variances, and tracking performance.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and cost performance against baselines.
• Support EVM activities, including cost and schedule performance analysis.
• Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and overall project progress.
• Prepare monthly performance reports with cost analysis and earned value metrics.
• Analyze project risks and suggest improvements to scheduling and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop reports.
• Develop customized reports and analyze data using Excel and project controls software.
• Support improvements to controls procedures and scheduling methodologies.
• For experienced staff, provide guidance and present findings to leadership.
