Job summary

Aegis Project Controls is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support for our data center practice, collaborating with client PMs, construction pros, and stakeholders to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules throughout a project lifecycle.

This full-time on-site role offers growth opportunities and requires Primavera P6 proficiency, cost/resource management, and a background in data center construction.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in project controls and CPM scheduling in vertical construction
  • 1+ years in project controls for data centers
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture/construction/PM or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects
  • Knowledge of cost and resource management and reporting
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification preferred
  • This role requires full-time on-site work

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor CPM schedules for data center projects
  • Review project documents to create baseline schedules with dates, activities, and milestones
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives
  • Provide recommendations based on execution goals and schedule optimization
  • Conduct critical path analyses and suggest corrective actions
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for the site team
  • Review contractor progress and present to management for decisions
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program
  • Support cost and resource management and reporting
  • Identify and evaluate risks impacting project schedules
  • Communicate project status effectively
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valuedclient’sdata centerpractice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage,andmonitorCPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project’s life cycle.This role is a significantproject team position withmany growth opportunities.

General responsibilities include:
  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications todevelop baseline schedules that accuratelyinclude all required dates, activities,and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses,identifyschedule-related problems, andrecommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages fortheproject site team.

Requirements:
  • Two or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • Oneor more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering, construction, project management, orarelatedfield. This requirement may be waived withfiveor moreyears of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
  • Proficiencyin Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience developing construction project schedules fordata centerprojects.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting,
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.
  • This role requires being full-time on-site.
