Job summary

Aegis Project Controls is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support for our data center practice. You will develop, maintain, and monitor CPM schedules with a team of project managers and construction professionals on a full lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in project controls and CPM scheduling in vertical construction and data centers, proficiency in Primavera P6, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction.
• Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field (waived with 5+ years of vertical construction experience).
• Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
• Ability to interpret construction documents accurately.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
• Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
• Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules with dates, activities, and milestones.
• Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
• Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
• Perform critical path analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct site walks for progress validation and monthly reporting packages.
• Review contractor progress and present to management for decision-making.
• Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
• Cost and resource management and reporting.
• Identify and evaluate risks and impacts within project schedules.
• Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
• Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valuedclient’sdata centerpractice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage,andmonitorCPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project’s life cycle.This role is a significantproject team position withmany growth opportunities.

Requirements:

• Fiveor more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.

• Twoor more years of experience in project controls for data centers.

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering, construction, project management, orarelatedfield. This requirement may be waived withfiveor moreyears of direct, vertical construction industry experience.

• Proficiencyin Oracle Primavera P6.

• Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.

• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.

• Experience developing construction project schedules fordata centerprojects.

• Cost and resource management and reporting,

• Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,

• Excellent oral and written communication skills,

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,

• AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.

• This role requires being full-time on-site.
