Job summary

The Aegis Companies seeks a Project Controls Engineer to deliver scheduling support for a data center practice. You will join a team of project managers and construction professionals to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules throughout project lifecycles, with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include baseline scheduling, progress updates, risk assessment, and reporting packages. Strong communication and fast-paced multi-project experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction.
  • One or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or related field (waived with 5+ years of direct vertical construction experience).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience developing construction schedules for data center projects.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification preferred.

  • Review project documents and develop baseline schedules with all dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
  • Review schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and monthly reporting packages.
  • Review contractor progress and present to management for decisions.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identify and evaluate risks and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valued client's data center practice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle. This role is a significant project team position with many growth opportunities.

General responsibilities include:

  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.

  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Review the contractor's progress and present it to management for decision-making.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Three or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • One or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.

The pay range for this role is:

85,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Pryor, OK)
