Job summary

Aegis Project Controls is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide CPM scheduling and project control support for a data center program in Texas. You will work with project managers, construction teams, and stakeholders to develop, maintain, and monitor schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes critical path analysis, progress reporting, risk assessment, and on-site coordination.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM Schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules with dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
  • Review schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and monthly reporting packages.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valuedclient’s data centerpractice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage,andmonitorCPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project’s life cycle.This role is a significantproject team position withmany growth opportunities.

General responsibilities include:
  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
  • Review project documents and specifications todevelop baseline schedules that accuratelyinclude all required dates, activities,and milestones.
  • Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
  • Perform critical path analyses,identifyschedule-related problems, andrecommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages fortheproject site team.
  • Reviewthecontractor’s progress and presentitto management for decision-making.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
  • Meetwith project teams, clients, owners,and various stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Fiveor more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
  • Twoor more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture,engineering, construction, project management, orarelatedfield. This requirement may be waived withfiveor moreyears of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
  • Proficiencyin Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience developing construction project schedules fordata centerprojects.
  • Cost and resource management and reporting,
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.
  • This role requires being full-time on-site.
