Actalent is seeking a Project Controls Cost Manager in Midtown Atlanta, GA, offering a hybrid schedule (Mon-Thu onsite, Fridays remote). The role supports major capital projects across multiple markets and teams with a focus on budgets, forecasting, and executive dashboards.

You will partner with project managers, schedulers, estimators, and engineers to drive financial performance and informed decision-making throughout planning and execution phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of Project Controls, Cost Engineering, Cost Management, or Construction Finance experience.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, and cost reports on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Analyze project performance, cost drivers, and variances.
• Support capital planning and budget development for project portfolios.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports, presentations, and dashboards.
• Help construction teams make informed decisions through data-driven analysis.
• Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, estimators, engineers, and contractors.
• Support staffing and resource planning initiatives within construction operations.

This is an opportunity to work alongside Project Managers, Cost Engineers, Schedulers, Estimators, and Construction Leaders while driving the financial performance of high-impact projects from planning through execution.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

• Analyze project performance, cost drivers, and variances

• Support capital planning and budget development for project portfolios

• Prepare executive-level financial reports, presentations, and dashboards

• Help construction teams make informed decisions through data-driven analysis

• Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, estimators, engineers, and contractors

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field

• 5+ years of Project Controls, Cost Engineering, Cost Management, or Construction Finance experience

• Experience supporting construction projects ranging from approximately $200K to $1M+

• Strong Excel skills, including:

• VLOOKUP

• INDEX MATCH

• Financial analysis and reporting

• Experience with:

• Procore

• Bluebeam

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $72.16/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
