Job summary

The Ruhlin Company in Sharon Center, Ohio seeks a Project Controls Specialist to support divisional operations, improve cost control and scheduling, and help with training and development. The role reports to the Project Controls Manager.

You will create custom reports in HCSS and Vista, oversee license access, monitor software updates, participate in job status meetings, and help ensure SOPs, cost tracking, and safety reporting align with company standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years construction industry experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, Teams, Viewpoint Vista and HCSS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review project cost and schedule reports for errors and omissions.
• Participate in divisional job status meetings.
• Assist with gathering information for claim preparation.
• Work with others to ensure accurate project schedules and cost tracking/reporting.
• Attend project handoff and closeout meetings.
• Review operational processes and recommend changes and enhancements.
• Help ensure SOPs and best practices are developed and followed.
• Create reports in HCSS, Vista, and other software.
• Oversee HCSS license assignments and user access.
