Job summary

HPM is seeking a Project Controls Cost Specialist to join our Savannah, GA team. You will forecast, manage budgets, track earned value, analyze risks, and prepare client-ready reports for multiple project sites.

Travel up to 10% may be required as part of project coordination. You will support cost control processes, develop cost baselines, review invoices, and communicate financial status to PM staff, clients, and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Business Admin, Building Science) preferred.
• 3–5 years of project cost controls experience or extensive project management experience in large, complex facility construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
• Analytical skills for cost estimates, bid evaluations, cash flow, risk, and benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly, monthly, and special client/c PM reports ensuring timely progress tracking.
• Support claims and variance analysis with MS Project, Primavera, Excel.
• Draft client reports based on costs, timelines, site inspections, and other data.
• Present findings clearly to clients and PM teams.
• Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and assist Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
• Manage project cost, budgets, forecasts, accruals, milestones, and KPIs.
