Job summary

HPM is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead the controls group, oversee budgets, schedules, and change management on complex projects. You will develop and maintain program control databases, provide frequent reporting, and ensure alignment between cost and schedule across multiple sites.

The role requires 10–15 years of PM/controls experience, strong leadership, and advanced analytical skills, with up to 20% travel. Proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling tools is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • 10–15 years of extensive project management experience in large, complex facilities construction.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced budgeting, procurement, contract management, and cashflow analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software (SureTrak/Project/P6 etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Controls team and coordinate the project control tools.
  • Gather and track budgets, contracts, change orders and actual costs.
  • Develop and maintain the program controls and reporting databases for dashboards.
  • Provide regular progress reporting to advise on timelines and costs.
  • Maintain project reports to review, evaluate, and recommend changes as needed.
  • Establish a master program schedule to meet time and cost constraints.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc client reports with accuracy.
  • Support schedule baselining, change control, and claims management.
  • Coordinate cash flow projections and forecasts with payment teams.
  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to improve controls and processes.
