Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to join our Project Controls team. This role can sit in our Texas, Utah, Nevada, or Tennessee offices and focuses on data-driven leadership support for major capital programs.

You will design dashboards in Power BI, develop Power Apps for data collection, and perform in-depth data analysis to improve reporting accuracy and decision making. Collaboration across PMO stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in project controls, reporting, and data analysis on large-scale capital projects.
• Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and reports; Power Apps for workflow/data collection; advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of cost forecasting, budgeting, and earned value management (EVM) practices.
• Familiarity with scheduling concepts and PMIS/scheduling platforms (e-Builder, Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong analytical, attention to detail, and communication skills to translate data for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Power BI dashboards and reporting tools for cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Develop Power Apps solutions to streamline data collection, approvals, and workflow automation.
• Analyze project data to identify trends, anomalies, and reporting improvements.
• Standardize KPI tracking and reporting templates across projects for data consistency.
• Produce regular progress reports for the PMO and Program Manager with executive summaries.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and support EVM tracking.
• Administer PMIS platforms (e.g., e-Builder, Procore); assist with acquisition packages and invoicing.
• Provide input on project schedules and flag discrepancies for review by the Program Manager.
• Support vendor selection, progress tracking, change orders, and close-out reporting as needed.
