Job summary

The Spear Group in Linden, NJ is seeking a Project Controls Specialist for a Pharma CAPEX program. This entry-level role targets a recent STEM graduate with strong Excel and data-analysis skills to support cost, scheduling, and budgeting activities across the project lifecycle.

You will develop budgets, forecasts, and KPI reports, coordinate with EPCM project controls, and help maintain baseline schedules while monitoring changes and performance.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of STEM degree with finance, accounting, eng, math, or information systems.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills required.
• Experience in cost engineering or estimating is a plus.
• Excellent organization and communication skills; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly project control deliverables including cash flow projections and forecast tracking.
• Develop budgets, plans, schedules, forecasts, and change management.
• Analyze performance data and maintain cost status across project phases.
• Support project team with cost/schedule impact assessment.
• Assist in project close-out and documentation.
