ITC Defense in Lexington Park, MD, is seeking a Junior Project Control Analyst to support program execution, financial management, and PMO activities. The role emphasizes budget tracking, EACs, forecasts, and reporting across multiple task orders.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree, demonstrate strong Excel/Power BI skills, and contribute to subcontract and invoice processes in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work with on-site days in Maryland is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Less than three (3) years of work experience in FMS, logistics, PM, or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Ability to support financial and business analysis, including budgeting, tracking, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Position: Project Control Analyst, Junior

Overview

ITC Defense is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Project Control Analyst (Financial Analyst – Junior) to support program execution, financial management, and operational activities within the ITC Program Management Office. This position provides analytical and administrative support across multiple task orders and programs, with a focus on budget management, financial reporting, project tracking, and supporting development of program deliverables. This position requires a motivated professional with strong mathematical acumen, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and track program/project requirements, status, budgets, and schedules, and support business-case analysis as required.
• Coordinate contract deliverables and program activities acrossmanagement, customers, and subcontractors, including task-order financial inquiries.
• Support documentation, change control, data management, and other government-required processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other analytical tools to support financial and program analysis.
• Support Task Order budget development, financial performance monitoring, estimates at completion (EACs), expenditure forecasting, funding requirements and notifications, and labor-hour allocation.
• Support program travel authorizations, tracking, and expense reporting.
• Support program purchasingand tracking of Other Direct Costs (ODCs) and materials.
• Review and verify prime and subcontractor invoices.
• Support subcontract modifications in coordination with Contracts/Subcontracts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Less than three (3) years of work experience in a field related to Foreign Military Sales (FMS), logistics, program management, or a technical or business analysis discipline related to acquisition, lifecycle management, analysis, or planning.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Ability to support financial and business analysis, including budgeting, financial tracking, forecasting, cost analysis, or project financial management.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated standard of care in the preparation, review, and submission of all work products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or other government contracting programs.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar data visualization and analytical tools.
• Familiarity with government contracting financial practices, including FAR, DCAA requirements, GAAP, and Cost-Plus, Time-and-Materials, or Firm-Fixed-Price contracts.
• Experience with task-order execution, subcontract administration, invoice review, or projectcontrol.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Maryland, ITC Defense is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Maryland and considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $30,000.00 - $60,000.00 annually. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
