Aspen Contracting is seeking experienced roofing and exterior restoration sales professionals to turn inspections into opportunities and opportunities into successful projects in the Des Moines area.

Join a team that travels locally to appointments, with a Des Moines market focus and office-based training in Clive, IA. This role offers paid training, weekly pay, and uncapped commission based on performance.

Now let's talk about what you could do with both.At Aspen Contracting, we're looking for experienced roofing and exterior restoration sales professionals who understand what it takes to turn an inspection into an opportunity, an opportunity into a customer, and a customer into a successful project.

If you've spent time in the field selling roofing, siding, gutters, storm restoration, home improvement, or other exterior services, you already understand the industry. You know the conversations homeowners have, the questions they ask, the challenges that come with the work, and what it takes to move a project forward.

We're looking for the people who can walk into that environment and hit the ground running.

Whether you're currently working for another roofing contractor, restoration company, home improvement company, or you're ready to take your roofing sales experience somewhere new, we'd like to talk.

Hiring throughout the Des Moines area, including surrounding communities.

This position services the Des Moines, IA market. While you will travel locally to customer appointments, all training, team meetings, and business-related activities are based out of our Clive, IA office. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Clive office as required.

JOB SNAPSHOT

Employment Type: Full-Time (W-2)

Compensation: $70,000–$200,000+

Pay Structure: Weekly Pay + Uncapped Commission

Schedule: Daytime, evenings, and occasional weekends based on customer appointments

What You’ll Do

• Meet with homeowners to assess roofing and exterior restoration needs.
• Conduct property inspections and identify potential project opportunities.
• Build relationships with homeowners and establish trust throughout the sales process.
• Present roofing and exterior restoration solutions based on customer needs.
• Explain project recommendations, scope, and next steps clearly and professionally.
• Manage the customer relationship from initial appointment through project completion.
• Prospect, follow up, and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Handle customer questions and objections using your industry knowledge and sales experience.
• Ask for the sale and confidently move qualified opportunities forward.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout their projects.
• Use company-provided technology and tools to document customer and project information.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support a successful customer experience.
• Represent Aspen Contracting professionally and uphold our commitment to Doing the Right Thing.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be taught what a roof is or what it takes to sell one.

You should have:

• Proven sales experience in roofing, storm restoration, exterior remodeling, or a related industry.
• A strong understanding of roofing and exterior restoration projects.
• Experience communicating with homeowners about damage, repairs, replacement options, or project scope.
• The ability to inspect properties and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline from lead through close.
• Confidence presenting solutions and handling customer objections.
• The ability to build trust quickly with homeowners.
• Strong follow-up and relationship-management skills.
• A history of taking ownership of your sales results.
• The ability to work independently while staying connected with the team.
• A professional approach to customers, teammates, and business partners.
• The drive to continue growing your earning potential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous roofing or exterior restoration sales experience required.
• Experience with residential roofing and/or exterior restoration strongly preferred.
• Experience conducting property inspections is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel locally throughout the Des Moines market.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet and company-provided technology.
• Must be able to reliably commute to the Clive, IA reporting office for required training, meetings, and business activities.
