As an intern, you will engage in project scopes, equipment upgrades, and cross-functional collaboration, with responsibilities including identifying improvements, supporting design work, and learning standards

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related technical degree.
• Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend the purchase, modification and improvement of varied equipment and facilities.
• Manage aspects of large cross-functional projects and be aware of costs, schedule, performance, and deliverables for projects assigned.
• Define the scope of the project and select team members from within and outside of their discipline.
• Lead the completion of engineering & design work related to the installation and retrofit of varied, complex equipment, infrastructure, and facilities.
• Ensure that advanced day‑to‑day equipment troubleshooting support is provided to Maintenance.
• Lead the development of standards, processes, and procedures within the department.
• Suggest recommendations for improvement and various other duties as needed to support the business.
• Various other projects as needed to support the business.

As a Civil Engineering Intern at Cleveland‑Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern’s education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below.

Minimum Qualifications
