Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Project Civil Engineer in Winchester, VA, to join our team full-time. The role focuses on municipal and development projects, with responsibilities spanning design, coordination, and project delivery in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

The candidate should have a PE license (Virginia) or be able to obtain it within six months, and at least six years of civil engineering experience, including land development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably land development.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia, or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Provide civil design services: site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities.
• Lead a range of projects from concept to construction with budgeting and scheduling.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permits.
