Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Civil Engineer for our Oakland, California office to support dam, levee, and hydropower infrastructure projects as part of our Pacific Dams / Hydro practice. This role offers opportunities to advance into leadership roles while continuing to contribute to safety, resilience, and long-term performance of critical infrastructure in Northern California and the western United States.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of senior engineers and specialists on design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil layout/design

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or peer review designs, specs, and construction documents.
• Develop plans, specs, and quantities for construction cost estimates.
• Review regulations and standards for design and permitting work.
• Participate in field and/or office engineering activities during construction projects.
• Apply QA/QC requirements to own work and project team work.
• Create design models in AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis, construction plans, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate design elements with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.
