Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to support dam and infrastructure projects in the western United States. The role blends technical exploration, analysis, and design with leadership opportunities while collaborating with senior engineers and specialists.

You will perform subsurface investigations, seismic assessments, and engineering analyses using a broad software toolkit and contribute to geotechnical reports and project delivery.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Geotechnical Engineering with 6+ years of related experience or equivalent.
CA PE license preferred and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan subsurface investigations, including drilling boreholes and CPTs across Northern California.
Review soil/rock samples for lab testing and QA/QC.
Plan and supervise inspections of construction activities for conformance to designs.
Perform analyses: slope stability, seepage, settlement, liquefaction, and foundations.
Evaluate seismic performance of dams and related structures including ground motions and deformation.
