Job description

Ardurra is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ, Flagstaff, AZ, and/or Las Vegas, NV.

Primary Function

In this role, you will work on a variety of residential, commercial, municipal, and park projects.

Primary Duties
  1. Participate in developing project design concepts and criteria.
  2. Provide design engineering and produce plans for multiple projects (public and private).
  3. Organize project information, files, and records.
  4. Assist with client interface, budgets, schedules, and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
  5. Make recommendations on design alternatives and assist in proposal preparation.
  6. Plan, organize, and supervise design activities for large and complex projects, such as multi-structure facilities requiring collaboration across disciplines.
  7. Coordinate regularly with project team members, clients, contractors, and permit agencies.
  8. Perform quantity takeoff and cost estimations.
  9. Analyze stormwater drainage and prepare technical reports.
  10. Review designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Hydraflow software.
  11. Participate in budget and quality control reviews.
  12. Collaborate with construction administration staff during project construction.
  13. Familiarity with Shop Drawings and RFIs.
  14. Experience in designing roads, water, and wastewater systems is advantageous.
Education and Experience Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  2. 5+ years of related experience in site design and permitting.
  3. PE license in Arizona/Nevada or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, hydrology and hydraulic analysis programs, and pipe network analysis.
  7. Self-motivated, able to forecast and initiate project management tasks.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  9. Project management experience is a plus.
