Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment in Houston is seeking a Project Cargo Pricing Specialist to price EPC and industrial cargo across ocean, air and inland transport. You will work through dimensions, weights, schedules and Incoterms to build quotations that operations can deliver.

The role emphasizes hands-on pricing, negotiation of supplier rates, and creating transparent cost breakouts for breakbulk, out-of-gauge, and other special movements while protecting gross profit.

Formación

• Hands-on project cargo pricing experience within freight forwarding or project logistics.
• Experience with multimodal movements including non-containerised or out-of-gauge cargo.
• Experience comparing supplier quotations and turning them into complete transport costs.
• Excel skills for costing and comparing routing options.
• Understanding how operational scope affects final quotation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare project quotations, RFQ responses and tenders, assessing routes, equipment and handling requirements
• Obtain and negotiate buy rates with carriers, specialised truckers, handling providers and overseas agents
• Build cost breakdowns for breakbulk, out-of-gauge, flat rack and open-top movements as required
• Make exclusions, rate validity, equipment constraints and cost assumptions clear in each quotation
• Work with sales and operations to test feasibility, protect gross profit and hand over awarded business accurately
