Job summary

IMI Industrial is seeking a Project Buyer to support large-scale material handling projects. You will source, purchase, and coordinate deliverables for multiple core projects while balancing cost, schedule, and quality with engineering, project management, suppliers, and logistics partners.

You will build strong vendor relationships, monitor budgets, and proactively solve supply chain challenges. This role emphasizes detailed procurement records in ERP/MRP systems and close collaboration with

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating procurement for multiple active projects.
• Vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to review drawings, BOMs, and project specs for procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities across 5–6 active core projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and project specifications to determine material and service requirements.
• Source and purchase materials including conveyor components, mechanical assemblies, structural steel, motors, drives, bearings, belts, rollers, controls, and fabricated parts.
• Issue and manage purchase orders and subcontracts for core project scopes.
• Track orders, expedite critical materials, and coordinate freight and logistics with 3PL partners.
