Job summary

High Tech High International seeks a Long-Term Substitute Teacher (Humanities) to support student learning under the guidance of the School Director. The role involves creating engaging, project-based lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining an orderly learning environment.

Start mid-September through mid-December on a temporary, full-time basis. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a California K-12 teaching credential (or a permitting option such as a substitute permit).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• A valid California K-12 teaching credential or permit (e.g., Substitute Permit or TPSL) may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and educate students under supervision.
• Assign homework, grade tests, and document progress.
• Deliver project-based instruction and engaging activities to meet learning goals.
• Create a positive learning environment that supports student growth and achievement.
