High Tech High International seeks a Long-Term Substitute Teacher (Humanities) to support student learning under the guidance of the School Director. The role involves creating engaging, project-based lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining an orderly learning environment.
Start mid-September through mid-December on a temporary, full-time basis. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a California K-12 teaching credential (or a permitting option such as a substitute permit).

Under the general supervision and guidance of the School Director, Teachers are responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating students. Their duties include assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting progress. Teachers must be able to command their classroom and reach students with an engaging project-based curriculum. Teachers are responsible for creating and maintaining a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and accomplish the learning goals of High Tech High.
Temporary assignment: If 12 weeks or more, then benefits and a pro-rated salary to commensurate with the shorter contract period. If under 12 weeks, then hourly no benefits.
