High Tech High Middle Mesa seeks a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Math/Science for the 2026-2027 school year. Under supervision, you will plan lessons, deliver project-based instruction, and maintain an engaging classroom that supports student learning.
The ideal candidate holds a California K-12 teaching credential, or TPSL/substitute permit, and demonstrates strong classroom management, collaboration with staff, and commitment to equity and personalized learning.
Under the general supervision and guidance of the School Director, Teachers are responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating students. Their duties include assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting progress. Teachers must be able to command their classroom and reach students with an engaging project-based curriculum. Teachers are responsible for creating and maintaining a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and accomplish the learning goals of High Tech High.
Temporary assignment: If 12 weeks or more, then benefits and a pro-rated salary to commensurate with the shorter contract period. If under 12 weeks, then hourly no benefits.
