Job summary

Galloway & Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced architect to lead the design and construction administration of large-scale multifamily and mixed-use projects. You will guide the project from conceptual design through construction, mentoring staff and coordinating with clients to align with the original vision.

You will review documents, manage schedules, ensure code compliance, and help develop new business relationships across projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Architecture or Environmental Design, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in large-scale multifamily and mixed-use projects.
• Typically, 8–10 years of experience in the Architecture field.
• In-depth understanding of building systems and design, schedules, and budgets.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and permitting processes for building design projects.
• Understands basic tenants of various engineering reports for construction.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, SketchUp, COMcheck-EZ, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing Architecture team members and project deliverables/schedules.
• Develops, modifies and reviews construction documents.
• Coordinates with and advises client during Design and Construction phases.
• Researches and specifies building materials, systems, and products.
• Researches codes and verifies code compliance.
• Oversees and assists construction administration phase management.
• Performs shop drawing and submittal reviews.
• Directs construction administration activities on projects.
• Takes an active role in new business development and client relationships.

About the Role

Join a collaborative architecture team where your work spans the full project lifecycle, from crafting conceptual designs to steering projects through construction with confidence and precision. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading contract administration, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring every build stays true to the original vision. Qualifications

• Bachelors in Architecture or Environmental Design, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in large-scale multifamily and mixed-use projects
• Typically, 8-10 years of experience in the Architecture field
• In depth understanding of building systems and design, as well as the construction projects, schedules, and budgets.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and permitting and certification processes for building design projects.
• Understands basic tenants of various engineering reports associated with project construction.
• Can review construction pay applications, change orders, requests for information, and other construction-related documentation.
• Mentoring and training less tenured staff.
• Possesses detailed knowledge in various agencies and disciplines involved in the construction process; integrates and coordinates all parties for successful completion of construction projects.
• Is proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader, Adobe Photoshop, Google SketchUp, COMcheck-EZ, and Microsoft Project.

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $85,000-$110,000.
