The Senator John Heinz History Center is hiring a temporary full-time Project Archivist to process the archives of author David McCullough. This role involves developing catalog records, creating metadata, and contributing to outreach efforts.

The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in library and information science with experience in archival management, U.S. history, and processing archival materials. The position offers a full benefits package and a vibrant working environment in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in library and information science (MLIS) or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. history and familiarity with sports history.
• Experience with archival materials processing and digitization.

Responsibilities

• Process collections according to professional archival standards.
• Develop catalog records and finding aids for archival collections.
• Contribute to reference, research, and outreach related to collections.
