Job summary

Gensler in Miami seeks a Project Architect to lead the interior architecture team from concept through construction. You will drive technical execution, documentation, and coordination across all phases, ensuring buildable solutions and high-quality drawings.

You will oversee Revit workflows, coordinate with MEP and structural teams, and guide project delivery with strong communication and leadership. This role is based in Miami and not remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• 6–10 years of interior architecture experience with emphasis on technical execution, documentation, and project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience on multidisciplinary teams and delivering coordinated construction documents.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Expert proficiency in Revit; familiarity with SketchUp, InDesign, 3ds Max, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Miro.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development, documentation, and detailing across all project phases with coordinated drawing sets.
• Oversee Revit workflows, model integrity, drawing standards, and quality control reviews.
• Direct consultant coordination (MEP, structural, AV/IT, lighting, sustainability) for integrated solutions.

• Serve as a main client contact, communicating strategies and resolving execution issues.
• Guide teams in materials, systems, specifications, and FF&E for performance and compliance.
• Lead construction administration activities including submittals, RFIs, site observations, and field issues.
• Integrate Revit, Enscape, computational design, and AR/VR for design analysis and delivery.
• Mentor teammates on detailing, documentation standards, and project delivery excellence.

As a Project Architect in our Miami office, you will lead the technical execution, documentation, and delivery of interior architecture projects across all phases—from concept through construction. You bring deep expertise in building systems, detailing, code compliance, and consultant coordination, ensuring that design intent is fully translated into high-performing, buildable solutions.

You excel in technical problem‑solving, project delivery, Revit leadership, and quality assurance, and you work closely with designers, engineers, and clients to deliver precise, integrated outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical development, documentation, and detailing throughout all project phases, ensuring coordinated, high-quality drawing sets.
• Oversee Revit workflows, model integrity, drawing standards, and quality control reviews, driving consistency and efficiency across project teams.
• Direct consultant coordination (MEP, structural, AV/IT, lighting, sustainability, etc.) and ensure fully integrated technical solutions.
• Evaluate design options against constructability, codes, building performance, and budget constraints, proactively resolving technical challenges.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and project partners, communicating technical strategies and resolving execution‑related issues.
• Guide teams in the application of materials, systems, specifications, and FF&E to ensure performance and compliance.
• Lead construction administration activities, including submittal review, RFIs, site observations, and field-issue resolution.
• Integrate advanced digital tools (Revit, Enscape, computational design, AR/VR) to support design analysis and technical delivery.
• Mentor team members in best practices for detailing, documentation standards, and project delivery excellence.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• 6–10 years of interior architecture experience with emphasis on technical execution, documentation, and project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience functioning on multidisciplinary teams and delivering coordinated construction documents.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Expert proficiency in Revit; proficiency with SketchUp, InDesign, 3ds Max, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Miro preferred.
• Registered/Licensed Architect (if you are in the process of taking AREs, feel free to contact [e-mail] to determine whether another opening could be a match for your background)
• LEED, Fitwell or WELL accreditation is preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practices; Portfolios will ideally include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
