Job summary

JacobsWyper Architects seeks a Project Architect with a strong focus on science and technology projects for our Philadelphia, PA office (with reach to Raleigh, NC and Austin, TX). The successful candidate will drive design execution from inception to completion, lead client meetings, and coordinate with consultants to deliver advanced labs and research environments.

The role demands strong communication, collaboration across teams, and experience in lab planning and specifications.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate design teams across disciplines.
• Experience writing specifications and teaching this skill to junior designers.
• Solid understanding of building and life safety codes.
• Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with Enscape a plus.
• Travel for project needs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engage all project phases from concept to close-out.
• Collaborate on construction document production and reviews.
• Lead client meetings and interface with clients and consultants.
• Manage programming and lab planning workshops.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants and vendors.
