Job summary

Design Collaborative is seeking an experienced Project Architect / Architectural Designer in Charlotte, NC to lead design from concept through construction administration. This role suits a curious, collaborative designer who enjoys ownership and multidisciplinary teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have a licensed or in-process RA, 5+ years of experience, and strong Revit, CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NCARB‑accredited program.
• 5+ years of professional architectural design experience.
• Registered Architect (RA) or actively working toward licensure.
• Commercial project experience in Higher Education, Corporate/Workplace, or Financial sectors.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from programming through construction.
• Proficiency in Revit, CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organization, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to balance big‑picture thinking with technical precision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects from Conceptual Design through Construction Administration.
• Develop architectural designs, models, and construction documents using Revit, CAD, and BIM.
• Collaborate with internal design team and consultants to deliver integrated solutions.
• Present design ideas to clients, contractors, and colleagues.
• Partner with Project Managers to meet design goals, schedules, and budgets.
• Participate in client meetings, project coordination, and on‑site construction observations.
