Job summary

Gensler in Oakland seeks a Project Architect to craft engaging human experiences in the built environment. You will develop design solutions, lead teams, and guide clients from early concepts to construction documentation.

The role focuses on workplace, sciences, and education projects, with collaboration across consultants and vendors. Strong BIM, coordination, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school.
• Licensure is required.
• 5-8+ years of experience in architectural design.
• Strong experience with Revit and Rhino.
• Proficiency with SketchUp, 3ds Max, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants and clients.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with senior design leadership from early development through implementation.
• Collaborate with design teams, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors to meet objectives.
• Manage project team and coordinate consultants.
• Produce BIM models and construction drawings.
• Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff.
