Job summary

Your Talent Team is guiding a confidential search for a Project Architect in the Albany, NY area. The role spans the full project lifecycle, offering ownership from programming to construction and strong mentoring of junior staff.

Ideal candidates will be Registered Architects or progress toward licensure with 5–10+ years of broad experience across municipal and federal projects, and a drive to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a growing A/E environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–10+ years of relevant architectural experience.
• Registered Architect preferred; licensure near completion encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from programming through design and construction.
• Prepare architectural assessments, facility studies, feasibility studies, and reports.
• Evaluate existing buildings and document conditions and recommendations.
• Perform building code reviews for new and existing facilities.
• Develop architectural drawings, details, and construction documents.
• Work in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with structural, engineering, drafting, and other disciplines.
• Serve as lead architect on multidisciplinary assignments as needed.
• Contribute to project planning, coordination, and management.
• Communicate effectively with team members, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Mentor less-experienced team members.
