Job summary

The office in Albany, NY area seeks a Project Architect to work across the full lifecycle on municipal and federal projects. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with disciplines, and mentor junior staff while maintaining hands-on technical involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–10+ years of relevant architectural experience.
• Registered Architect strongly preferred.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead architectural projects from initial programming through design and construction.
• Prepare architectural assessments, facility studies, feasibility studies, and programming reports.
• Evaluate existing buildings and document architectural conditions and recommendations.
• Perform building code reviews for new and existing facilities.
• Develop architectural drawings, details, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with structural, engineering, drafting, and other project disciplines.
• Serve as a lead architect on multidisciplinary assignments as experience warrants.
• Contribute to project planning, coordination, and management.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Mentor less-experienced team members and maintain hands-on involvement.
