Job summary

Confidential Employer near Albany, NY seeks an experienced Project Architect to drive projects from programming through construction, coordinating with multiple disciplines and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Registered Architect credential or are close to licensure, with 5–10+ years of broad architectural experience across project phases. Revit and AutoCAD proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–10+ years of relevant architectural experience.
• Registered Architect strongly preferred.
• Not yet licensed candidates should be close to licensure.
• Experience with municipal and federal projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead architectural projects from initial programming through design and construction.
• Prepare architectural assessments, facility studies, feasibility studies, and programming reports.
• Evaluate existing buildings and document architectural conditions and recommendations.
• Perform building code reviews for new and existing facilities.
• Develop architectural drawings, details, and construction documents.
• Work in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with structural, engineering, drafting, and other disciplines.
• Lead projects as experience warrants.
• Contribute to project planning, coordination, and management.
• Communicate with project team members and stakeholders.
• Mentor less-experienced team members.
• Maintain hands-on technical involvement while increasing ownership.
• Prepare clear, professional technical reports and documentation.
