Job summary

L+C Design Consultants is seeking a Project Architect with 4–7 years of professional experience to join our Northern New Jersey team. The role focuses on development of construction documents for K–12 educational projects, with mentorship from senior staff and growing responsibility based on performance.

Candidates will support multiple school projects, coordinate with MEP and structural consultants, and participate in site visits and field reports.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of professional architectural experience.
• Proficiency in construction documentation.
• Experience with public bid, educational, or institutional projects.
• Ability to work independently with regular supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Document existing conditions and prepare construction documents during design phases.
• Coordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, etc.).
• Assist the project lead with bid phase documentation and bid addenda.
• Provide construction administration services, including reviewing and responding to submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Participate in site visits and prepare field reports.
• Maintain organized project documentation and correspondence.
