A nationally recognized architecture and planning firm is seeking 1–2 experienced designers or architects to join its Education Studio. This firm is known for shaping innovative, student-centered learning environments across K–12, higher education, and civic projects, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and design excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid- to senior-level designer with strong technical and BIM expertise who is passionate about educational design and interested in long-term growth toward a Project Architect or Project Manager path.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to design development and construction documentation for K–12 and related educational projects
- Develop conceptual designs into coordinated, buildable solutions
- Produce clear, technically sound construction documents using BIM software
- Create presentation graphics that effectively communicate design intent
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and external consultants
- Support code analysis, detailing, and quality control across project phases
- Participate in construction administration, including submittals and site observations
- Collaborate with project leadership to support schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Mentor and support junior staff
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional architectural experience (educational, institutional, civic, or mission-driven public projects preferred)
- Strong experience producing construction documents and coordinating building systems
- Proficiency in cloud-based BIM (ArchiCAD and/or Revit)
- Understanding of educational building typologies and applicable codes
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Licensure preferred but not required
